Hooray! We made it to the first full moon of the year/decade. ;) And the accompanying eclipse makes this one even more special.
Cancer, ruled by the moon, is the sign of home, intuition, the divine feminine. Its counterpart Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is anything but nurturing - he's the workhorse, the disciplinarian, the authority, and represents time itself.
So, how do we balance the two?
Read on for a full interpretation:
Time: 11:21am PST
Degree: 20° Cancer
The Main Aspects:
Moon in Cancer opposite Sun in Capricorn (it doesn't have to be this hard)
Sun conjunct Saturn in Capricorn (steady discipline)
Sun conjunct Mercury in Capricorn (expressing achievements)
Sun conjunct Pluto in Capricorn (radical changes)
Moon opposite Mercury (communicating desires)
Moon opposite Saturn (defending feelings)
Moon opposite Pluto (inward turmoil and transformation)
Mercury conjunct Saturn in Capricorn (the honest truth)
Mercury conjunct Pluto in Capricorn (deep thinking)
Jupiter opposite North Node (falling down the slide)
Jupiter conjunct South Node in Capricorn (giving in to indulgences)
Saturn conjunct Pluto (shaking the foundations)
1/10/2020 = 6
I love the balance of these numbers. We have double the energy of the 1, which represents new beginnings, independence, masculine energy. Coupled with this, we have the double energy of the 2, which represents partnerships, intuition, and feminine energy. All together, these numbers equal 6, which is the number of the home, nurturing, and domestic responsibility...which, if you've been paying attention, are the exact qualities of Cancer!
You can channel the energy of the 6 by taking pride in your home and allowing nurturing energy to flow out and around you. Light some candles. Take a bath. But first, do some light cleaning (work hard rest hard is the Cancer/Capricorn motto).
As I always mention, I feel that the full moon period is a great time for pausing and pouring energy into your goals and expressing gratitude rather than letting go (the waning moon is great for that), but it's not a bad idea to make a list of who and what you are ready to release once the moon begins to lose light.
The Hidden Message:
The Chandra messages for this event are...
20° Cancer (what we're moving away from): Many brightly-colored tropical fish. When you are inside of the life-flow, the vividness of impressions and the vibrancy of responses wax so strong and powerful that you must live it out in the unconscious, leaving the conscious levels high and dry. The immense fertility of imaginative depths stays inside and avoids super flooding by setting off a private preserve of consciousness within which to maintain personal priorities. Inside, the deep and vital fluids are quickened and marvelously differentiated and vast. This rigid division between the overt and the covert is felt to be simply a given. The consequences are severe. All livingness is excluded by consciousness and all consciousness is excluded by livingness. This stance is static and repetitive, and represents a final echo of a longstanding duality, which must yield to a whole new way of being in this world when every other option is used up.
21° Cancer (what we're moving towards): High up on a mountain an eagle's nest. Heritage and birthright, the soul's inheritance. Being granted a belongingness, an attunement to rarified worlds. Consciousness triumphant. Maintaining the Crown vista of universal essentials, you are imbued with natural wonders and treasures. Wakeful, vigilant, and clear. You have superlative faculties of sifting through and finding what we all need to see here. Remarkably untouched by personal limitations and distortions. Called upon to uphold the truth and knowing it. Serene, focused, and unsentimental. Diving right to the place where the goods are. Impeccable skills used under constraint. The finest accompanies each breath. The mark of previous karmic attainments of the highest kind. Resuming where you left off, steady, self-assured, and righteous in the best sense. Beyond reproach.
In my words:
These are the perfect messages to signify the Cancer/Capricorn opposition. We've swam in the deep waters, inspecting everything with a fisheye lens. We've stuck to what we know - our home, our family - without venturing out of the "school." It's time for a different perspective. One that is only available to us when we're brave enough to take a high perch and survey the big picture.
During this full moon, ask yourself...
WHAT do I see when I "rise above" it?
HOW can I balance my work and home responsibilities?
