Full Moon in Libra: A Spotlight on Relationships

Wow! So, the last time I blogged about the full moon, Coronavirus was still pretty much under wraps. It's a whole new world now, and many of us are struggling to make the adjustments needed to survive.

This moon shines a spotlight on all things close and personal to us - namely our partnerships and the way we relate to others. Social distance has either put a strain on your relationships or has deepened them. Which is it for you?

Read on for a more detailed interpretation...

The Deets:

  • Date: 4/7/2020

  • Time: 7:34pm PT

  • Degree: 18° Libra

The Main Aspects:

  • Moon in Libra opposite Sun in Aries (a spotlight on relationships)

  • Mercury sextile Jupiter (turn up the loudspeaker)

  • Mercury sextile Pluto (speaking to the changes)

  • Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces (communicating our dreams)

  • Venus trine Mars (aggressively committed)

  • Venus trine Saturn (serious talks)

  • Mars conjunct Saturn in Aquarius (look before you leap)

  • Mars square Uranus (energy-sapping surprises)

The Numerology:

4/7/2020 = 15 = 6

We have the energy of the 1 (independence, new beginnings) and the 5 (adaptability, change). All together, these numbers equal 6, which is the number of the home, nurturing, and domestic responsibility. Interesting, since I pulled the "Domestic Harmony" card for this week's oracle reading.

Use the energy of the 6 to nurture yourself, others, and your immediate environment. Water those plants, take that bath, make that sandwich and, most importantly, wash those hands!

As I always mention, I feel that the full moon period is a great time for pausing and pouring energy into your goals and expressing gratitude rather than letting go (the waning moon is great for that), but it's a good idea to make a list of who and what you are ready to release once the moon begins to lose light.

The Hidden Messages:

The Chandra messages for this full moon event are...

  • 18° Libra (what we're moving away from): A woman carefully counting the beans in a jar. Taking outward phenomena literally. The utmost in naivete. You wander into every trap and pitfall with eyes wide open, wanting so badly for everything to add up and to make sense. Lacking a strong center of selfhood. Impressionable to received ideas and at the mercy of conditionings, wanting only to please and to make everybody happy, you are held within the circle of consensus agreement. Behaving in such exemplary fashion that it is too good to be true. All is from the outside in. Lessons in outlasting what you take on, and in showing up after being so far gone that nobody knew where to find you.

  • 19° Libra (what we're moving towards): Young boys picking and eating cherries off a tree. Humoring the little self, playing along with it, encouraging it to do its worst. Humorously looking on from a great distance and letting everything go by the paradoxical strategy of giving the little one free rein and by not opposing their pulling through the dramas of the personal. Generous permission is granted for every current and subcurrent to have a field day, the more the merrier. But even in the midst of piling it on, the fun is going out of being a young fool. For the one way to call the bluff of every errant impulse is to give it such wild, open territory that it runs into itself everywhere. And discovers stunningly that all games of hide-and-seek pale before the real thing of showing up in the world and really letting go into the power and the glory of the life impulse, liberated and enjoyed as the free play of the Divine, with nothing to be ashamed of and no need to hide ever again.

In my words:

Are you carefully counting your "beans"? So focused on the task that you have yet to actually cook them and eat them? "Eat" as you go and deny yourself nothing right now. Let yourself live a little. Enjoy the company of others (which can be done at a distance). There will always be more cherries - more opportunities - so pick them at will. Remember that it's okay to cherry-pick the happy memories and experiences right now. Allow them to soothe you in your time of need.

During this full moon, ask yourself...

HOW can I improve my relationship with others?

WHAT creature comforts can I give myself right now?
